Wiki Indaba 2023 Call for Submissions and Scholarship Applications

Apply now for a scholarship to attend Wiki Indaba in November 2023.

Hello, fellow Wikimedians,

We are pleased to share this update with you, regarding the Wiki Indaba 2023 conference which will take place in Agadir, Morocco from 3th-5th November 2023.

The organizing team would like to inform you that this year’s theme will be “Tweeza: Empowering Africa through Knowledge-sharing and Collaboration” and the call for proposals is now open.  Please submit your proposals for workshops, discussions and presentations. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2023. For more details visit the Submissions Meta page.

In order to have a good preparation, especially considering the visa applications, we would also like to inform you that the scholarship application is open as well. Through this form (available in Arabic, French, and English), all interested candidates can apply for a scholarship to join the conference. The international scholarships will cover airlines, ground travel, accommodation and catering, and Visa fee for Active African Wikimedians in Africa and Diaspora and other mission-aligned institutions in the Open knowledge movement. There will also be scholarships for participants in Morocco, to enable local Wikimedians to join this conference.

The scholarship application is open until June 30, 2023.
